The first named war between the Europeans and the Native Americans was the nearly forgotten Tiguex War, fought in 1540-42 against the Tiwa Pueblo Indians along the Rio Grande in what is today central New Mexico. To be published in hardback in 2010 by Gibbs Smith Publisher with a different dust jacket.

Dying Alone

A mystery based in Albuquerque, N.M., this novel features ancient pueblo history, a serial killer of homeless people, and a newspaper reporter trying to unravel the reasons behind the murder of his brother. Agent and publisher inquiries welcome.
