If you are interested in yurt living and the basic elements of yurts, here is an opportunity to get some first hand experience. Dave will co-teach a six day yurt workshop at the Yestermorrow Design Build School in Warren Vermont. Its happening on May 1 - 6, 2005. Class Description:
Yurts provide an ecologically responsive, efficient, and affordable alternative to the conventional home. This class will provide a thorough hands on introduction to yurts, focusing on planning, site design, platform construction and assembly. We will consider practical issues unique to yurt living, visit area yurts, (including ours!) learn basic carpentry skills as we build a yurt platform, and assemble a 24' yurt kit at the end of the week. You will leave with the skills and resources you need to create your own yurt home! Open to all skill levels.
