Go into any library. Big library, small, private, personal, there is an angel in every one. Sit quietly and think of a question or situation on which you would like guidance.
When you’re ready (which is whenever you think you are), walk around the library, still quiet inside yourself. Wander down the aisles and up or down the stairs.
At some point you will feel yourself drawn to a certain place. You might feel like you’re making up that feeling, and that’s okay. Go anyway.
At some point, you’ll be inclined to pull a book off
a shelf or pick one up off a table.
Leaf through the book with your eyes closed, or almost so. When you feel
the page where you are supposed to stop, then stop.
Let your fingers skim over the page and find the paragraph that is meant for you. Read it.
If the message isn’t instantly clear, sit with it for a few minutes and ask for clarification. You might feel like you're making up the clarification -- that's okay too. Make a copy of the page, if you like, and take it with you to ponder.
Often the paragraph you choose will have a word or phrase or idea that pertains specifically to you. This can be a delightful confirmation.
