Equipment Chest
What's the best way to remember all your equipment? Keep it in one place.
That's the idea behind this box. I bought this at a local hardware store. If you can't find one local, go to PlanoMolding.com. They sell it directly for $49.25 if you call 1-800-226-9868
It has wheels for toting and a metal bar allowing it to lock if needed. There's even a cup holder.
When it's open, the lid is fairly horizontal, a great place to set stuff. I keep a piece of large bubble wrap to lay over everything, which keeps dew from forming on equipment while open.

Now if somebody would just make and sell one of these, all done up with padded holders for eyepieces and equipment, larger air-filled tires for a safer ride, they'd sell like $5 Naglers!

The Top
Here it is with the cover open and the top drawer out. The top has plenty of room for all my...
Large Eyepieces
Laser Pointer
Red Flashlights
Barlows
The top drawer holds all my misc. accessories, filters, allen wrenches, pens, cleaning cloths, misc cables, etc...

Middle Drawer
I have put the foam from my Meade 4000 Series case right into this drawer. In plopped all my smaller eyepieces, right in their bolt cases. Sun is coming up, sleep tight little eyepieces.
Even with all these eyepieces, I still have more room!

If you can find anything like this, I highly recommend getting it. You'll

never forget your red flashlight or green laser pointer again (or anything else for that matter).
