It's finally ready -- the DVD of the highlights of the 1988 & 1989 seasons is available. The plan is to do a dvd for each season from 1988 to 1998 -- a total of 10 dvd's.

The “Glory Days” videos are produced from standard vhs footage which has been digitize and edited. The 1988 video is mostly from game tapes -- video taken from a fixed location with a wide view of the court. Also, the source for most of the 1988 video is a highlight tape made at the time. Thus, in many cases the footage is already second or even third generation video. Thus the quality is poorer. The 1989 video is a combination of game tape footage and video taken from a hand held camera at court level with more close up shots. Much of the 1989 video is digitized from first generation tape. Since the 1988 video is considerably shorter (and of lower quality) it is included on the dvd with the 1989 video. Also, the 1989 video combines much of the footage found on the various segments of this web site with the "highlight video" displayed on the web site. Unlike the small versions displayed on the web site, the dvd video is full screen.

In addition to the two highlight videos, the dvd also contains pdf documents for both seasons (accessible from a computer which can play dvd's). Those pdf documents contain the game summaries as displayed on the web site as well as the written chronicles from "The Year" sections.

The DVD also has two extra video clips that are unedited -- the footage taken at the community banquet when the 1989 team was presented the #1 trophies from the Lincoln Journal Star and the Omaha World Herald; and the footage of the skit presented by the Wahoo girls basketball team.
