We covered a lot of Tokyo on our own over the next four days. These pictures are from Shinjuku, Akihabara, Gyotoku, and Ginza.

The Century Hyatt in Shinjuku. Good-sized room. Comfy king bed. We got a new origami swan on our pillow every night. Just like home. Nice bathroom! Gyotoku Station, Eric's old subway stop. Where Eric lived for 8 months. He was on the fourth floor, high above the cockroaches. His one-stop shop for clothes and groceries. Where he used to get his haircut. His first place, which he stayed in for only 2 months. That's the place. The bar he used to hang out with with his British friends. Hello Ginza! Ginza The Apple Store, Ginza. Inside. Kyle's gone international! Collect all five?? How's that for wishful thinking? You won't find construction workers this polite or clean back in the USA! Our most demanding menu of the trip. Whew! They got it right!
