Some years ago, one of our members thought it would be a great idea to list the artists and concerts from previous years. I agreed that this might be a nice feature to have, and eventually started in on the task. A mere three years later, it had finally been reduced to a maintenance task. George, you never did say thank you.
Please note that this is not a list of all the concerts that the TCGS has sponsored, but merely
a list of the 'formal' concerts - those concerts presenting primarily world class artists to
a paying public. To the extent that a reasonable record of the 'Members Concerts' exists,
these have also been listed. Not listed are the numerous 'Outreach Concerts' - presented
at various area retirement homes, nursing homes, assorted charitable fund raisers, etc.
These concerts have unfortunately been poorly documented, and it seemed better to leave
them all out rather than to include only a few. The performers are typically those same
stalwarts of the society that perform regularly at the Members' Concerts, and occasionally
an obliging 'Name Performer'. This is a big part of our charter, and I should press for better
documentation of our efforts in this area in the future. Herewith the list:
