The Great and Venerable Hoagie

While the City of Philadelphia may be best known for its cheesesteaks, it is also the international epicenter of a sandwich known as a "hoagie". Some people use this term interchangably with words like "grinder", "sub" and "blimpie". While these sandwiches are certainly similar, they are by no means the same. If you are confused by this, read my "What is a hoagie?" article before going any further.

I am in the process of scouring the Delaware Valley for the best hoagie. Along the way, I am writing reviews of the various hoagies I find, which are provided in rating order below. I recommend that you review the ratings criteria before diving into the actual reviews.
