Internet Speed & Saving Photos

SAVING PHOTOS
On most computers you can simply drag any of this website's photo album images onto your computer desktop (your monitor) and thus save the JPG image in your computer for future viewing. You can create your own unique family photo album this way without having to connect to the internet to see the photos. Either save the JPG images in your computer's photo album or print them and place them in your traditional photo album. The dpi resolution of website photos is low, 72 dpi, in order to transmit them quickly over the internet. If you would like to print higher quality photos, send your request to me and I will email or send you files with higher, 200-300 dpi, resolution.

SLOW INTERNET EQUALS SLOW DOWNLOADS
If you have a high-speed internet connection, viewing and downloading the links on this website will be a snap. However, because some ot the files on this website are very large, they may take a long time to load into your computer if you have a slow, telephone-line-based modem and ISP (Internet Service Provider). In fact, it may be that neither you nor your computer have the patience to download large movie or photo files.

If your internet connection is slow, here are a few things that you can do to view, download and enjoy the media on the website:

Install high-speed internet in your home either through your TV cable company or local phone company.

View the site using a high-speed internet connection at your office or workplace.

View the site on a computer at a Kinko store, friend's home, or public library.

If you have a wireless-equipped laptop, bring it to a coffee shop, university, hotel, Apple Store, etc., anyplace that has "Wi-Fi" or "Airport" available to computer users.

Begin downloading large files at night, before you go to bed, and let the computer do its work while you're sleeping. Then save & open the downloaded file in the morning. Saving the file on your computer means that you won't have to download it again to see it or show it to your family and friends.

If you've tried all these things and are still having problems, don't hesitate to let me know. Contact me by telephone (952-476-5929) or email. I'll do whatever I can to help. You can send an email by simply clicking on the "Send me a message" button located at the bottom of this page.

Good luck & happy viewing & listening,

David Goulson-Johnson Nitz
