Recently
crowned King Glenn Poshard has another new initiative that will turn
around SIU’s financial predicament: No more welfarist interdepartmental mail. |

From
November 1, 2006, all interdepartmental mail will be charged postage,
just like in the real world. |

Postage will be paid by affixing Poshard Presidential Postage stamps to all campus mail envelopes. Unstamped mail will be returned to sender. Stamps will be available to university departments from Campus Mail Service in sheets of 20. | ![]() |
The following
stamps are now available from Campus Mail Service: 39c Coronation special issue Sheet of 20 stamps @ 39c each = $7.80 plus administrative service charge of 20% plus faculty union fair share payment of 20% plus undergraduate student government surcharge of 20% plus physical plant fees of 20% plus health and retirement surcharge of 20% plus delivery charge of 20% plus united way contribution of 20% Grand total per sheet = $18.72 |

Postage supplies issued at Campus Mail Service and charged to a university account are for official university business only and are not to be used for personal mail. All requests for postage supplies must be submitted on a Postage Service Request form signed by the fiscal officer of the University account to be charged. |
