our goal is to create a body of rights managed content representing a healthier, happier lifestyle and an awareness of the environment we live in. we put our money where our mouth is, 1% of our global sales will be paid to friends of the earth.

ableimages was founded in 2005 by david harrigan who, having been head of art at getty images and director of photography at corbis, set out to create quality rights managed images for the global picture buying community.

european photographers jutta klee and julian winslow, along with new york based partnership wizard andra ommen, have joined david harrigan and ableimages co-founder, gabriel giglio to proudly launch its own collection of rights managed images.

welcome to the first of our update notes, we want to share with you what we have been shooting in the past few months. from now on we will be sending out an update with each of our uploads which will give you a taster of what we have been up to.

thanks to all of you who have provided feedback to our ‘needs initiative’, we will be sending out a separate and regular feedback on this project in the next month or so. we have listened to your ‘needs’ and have begun where possible to include elements of them into the shoots we have produced, small steps, but it’s working, so let us all keep up the flow of close communication.

we have had fun with this upload and we hope that you like the collection of images within it.

i would like to thank all of our agents for supporting our belief that by working together we can create a relevant collection of saleable images.
