MY LINE (paternal) :: Emil Peterson, son of Theodor Peterson and Christina Pilstrom, married Nellie Sundberg

I. Brief Biography and Ancestry (updated 16 March 2006)
My great-great grandmother, Christina Johanna PILSTROM, born 22 July 1842 in Bjälbo församling (församling=parish), Östergötlands Län (län=county), Sweden, was the daughter of Anders Fredrik PIHLSTROM and Stina PERSDOTTER. On 15 April 1865, Christina married Theodor PETERSON, son of Petter Magnus SVENSSON and Maria LARSDOTTER in Gammalkil, Östergötlands Län, Sweden. In 1868 they emigrated from Sweden to Burlington, Des Moines County, Iowa, and around 1872 they moved from there to the west side of Burt County, Nebraska. Christina died on 17 April 1922 in Burt County, Nebraska. All information on the Pilstroms is from another source. I haven't been able to verify any of it at this time.

Anders Fredrik PIHLSTROM, my great-great-great grandfather, was born 13 October 1814 at Fogdegarden, Bjälbo, Östergötlands län, Sweden, to Anders Fredrik PIHLSTROM (Sr.) and Stina JOHANSDOTTER. In 1839, Anders (Jr.) married Stina PERSDOTTER in Östergötlands län, Sweden. Stina, who was born 2 December 1808 in N. Orbergshult, Mjolby, Ostergotland, Sweden, daughter of Annika SAMUELSDOTTER and a man named Per whose last name is unknown to me, died 1 March 1889 in Skanninge, Ostergotland, Sweden. Anders died 16 October 1874 in Skanninge, Ostergotland, Sweden.

Anders Fredrik PIHLSTROM, my 4th great grandfather, was born 14 February 1787 in Lindenas, Motala, Ostergotland, Sweden to Anders PIHLSTROM and Brita FAGERBERG. In 1812, Anders married Stina JOHANSDOTTER in Bjalbo, Ostergotland, Sweden. Stina, who was born 2 July 1792 in Hastholmen, Vastra Tollstad, Ostergotland, Sweden, daughter of Johannes SAMUELSSON and Catharina HAKANSDOTTER, died 7 March 1847 in Blackhusgarden, Bjalbo, Ostergotland, Sweden. Anders died 5 December 1835 in Blackhusgarden, Bjalbo, Ostergotland, Sweden.

II. Other Researchers
Most of the work done on the ancestors of Theodor and Christina, plus a lot of the descendants, is from Merry Lloyd, a descendant of Theodor and Christina thru their daughter Clara, and Laurie Christoffersen, descended from Theodor and Christina thru their son Johan Theodore, and Verlyn Erickson Morris, a descendant of Theodor and Christina thru their daughter Almida.
