It's true- I married my high school sweetheart, as cliche as that sounds. Roger and have been married since 1956. (Another milestone coming up) We have four children. Karen is an accountant, married to Stitch Parent, who is an electrical engineer. They live in Vermont, have 2 kids, Kim-a junior at Holy Cross, and Katie, a junior in high school. My daughter Lynn, who is a chemical engineer, is married to Pat Reuvers, who is a mechanical engineer. So you see we have all the engineering disciplines covered. They have 3 kids and live in Rochester, MN. Jack and Victoria are in high school and Tommy is in sixth grade. My son Tom, was the Parks and Recreation Director in Manchester, and in MIddlebury, Vt-got sick of all the politics and started a landscaping and property management company in VT. He is having a lot of fun and skis a lot in the winter. Our youngest, Lisa, is an international teacher. She is currently in Ithiopia, just left El Salvador, and has also taught in Brazil, Tanzania, Venesuela and at the Smith Campus School.
I am currently the Treasurer of Smith Charities, which is a lovely job, and I will probably work until I am 75. I have retired from a banking career where I ended up as an AVP, working as a commercial loan officer and accounts relationship manager. Roger took early retirement from Mass Electric about 10 years ago when they offered management a genorous offer he could not refuse. He had worn many hats there including personnel director, regional manager etc.
