| News | 30 Aug 2005 Mean most to us: For a starter - our two daughters - Donna and Bethany. Swimming seems to have been a great part of our married life. They both were excellent swimmers - at the Northampton YMCA and Look Park and then on to much bigger things. Donna died in 1979 from a fall in Switzerland during her junior year at Colgate University. She took part in the Olympic Trials of 1976. Bethany is currently head men and women's swimming and diving coach at Georgetown University. She has held this position for 11 years. She was named Coach of the Year by Georgetown for the 2004-05 year and will be honored at a special awards banquet in October. Obviously we are very proud of her. We live in Chester, VA and love it. Low taxes and great weather. Walt and I are retired. He works for himself as a general repair person (he loves it) and I have returned part time (my choice of hours) at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College where I retired from several years ago. We travel a lot and are enjoying life... |
