After graduation from N.H.S., I attended Westfield State College, and graduated in 1959, and began teaching elementary school children in Westfield. In 1960, I married George Wailgum from Holyoke, Ma. and we settled in Westfield after he completed service in the U.S. Navy. Over the next several years, we had 4 sons: Brian, Kevin, Andrew and Thomas. I taught at several different elementary schools in Westfield for 28 years. In 1994, I completed studies for my Masters'Degree at Westfield State. My husband taught in Hartford, Ct. for about 28 years. When I retired from teaching in 1998, we moved to Harwich on Cape Cod.
Our sons are all married and we have 8 energetic grandchildren: 6 boys and 2 girls. They love visiting us on Cape Cod. It has been a very busy summer!!
Plus, I work part-time (need to have my head examined)at a child care center here in Harwich. In my little spare time, I love playing golf, going to the beach, reading, gardening, watercolor painting, and spending time with my family. My life is very busy. Fortunately, we are in good health to enjoy all this. We're looking forward to seeing old friends. Carrie

I retired from teaching in the Westfield Elementary Schools in 1998. After we moved to Cape Cod, I needed something to keep me busy and I've been teaching part-time in a YMCA child care these last 10 years.
Of course we love life here on Cape Cod. George and I are active in various organizations here and enjoy (sometimes) playing golf.
I'm most proud of our 4 sons, who are grown and have families of their own.
I'd like to find out if anyone has any information about Jean Bogdanowicz whom I knew in our freshman year of high school?
Best wishes to all my classmates. Carrie
