JOAN PRATT CRANSON

Joan K. (Pratt) Cranson, 57, of 716 Bridge Road died Thursday in The Cooley Dickinson Hospital. She was a laundry supervisor at the Northampton Nursing Home for 18 years. A lifelong resident here, she was a 1955 graduate of Northampton High School. She was a member of the North American Family Campers Association, and a former president of its Hill-Town Chapter 94. She was a communicant of St. John's Episcopal Church. She leaves her husband, Richard E. Cranson; her mother, Viola (Allord) Pratt of Northampton; two brothers, Raymond of Newark, Del., and Francis of Dixmont, Maine; a sister, Gladys Pratt of Northampton; many nieces and nephews. The funeral and burial at Village Hill Cemetery in Williamsburg will be private. There are no calling hours, and Pease Funeral Home is in charge. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hampshire County Hospice, PO Box 1087, Northampton, 01061.
