Karen K. (Kersage) Ashe, 63, of this city, died Monday at home. Born in Galveston, Texas, she lived in Springfield since 1955 and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church. She leaves her husband, Daniel J. Ashe; three sons, Dennis M. Ashe of Hyannis, Sean F. Ashe of Wayne, N.J., and Edward Kersage of Indiana; two daughters, Dani M. McDonald of East Longmeadow and Linda Ashe-Leary of Chicopee; her mother and stepfather, Margaret C. and James Russell of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Edward Kersage of Indiana and James Russell of Kansas City; four sisters, Vicki Russell and Willa Russell, both of Kansas City, Pam Kersage of New York City and Marsha Cline of Indiana; and 15 grandchildren. The funeral will be Friday morning at Sampson Funeral Home and the church, with a private burial. Calling hours are Thursday afternoon into the evening.
