NORTHAMPTON _ Phyllis (Dunny) Conz, 59, of 150 Maplewood Terrace, died Thursday in the Elaine Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hadley.

Born in Northampton Oct. 11, 1937, she was the daughter of the late George and Sophie (Watras) Dunny.

She graduated from Northampton High School and the former Cooley Dickinson Hospital School of Nursing in Northampton.

A registered nurse, Mrs. Conz had worked as a maternity nurse at The Cooley Dickinson Hospital for many years, and had held charge-nurse positions at other institutions.

Her husband, Clarence B. Conz, died in 1989.

She leaves two sons, Peter Conz and Eric Conz, both of Northampton; two daughters, Heidi Friedman of Clifton Park, N.Y., and Pia Conz of Easthampton; three brothers, David Dunny of Goshen, and Stanley Dunny and Edward Dunny, both of Northampton; five sisters, Nancy Jones and Joan Mazur, both of Northampton; Alice Dunny of Hatfield, Elizabeth O'Brien of Williamsburg, and Patricia Jaffe of East Longmeadow; and several nephews and nieces.

The funeral will be Saturday morning at the Pease Funeral Home in Northampton.

Burial will be in Spring Grove Cemetery in Florence.
