NORTHAMPTON _ Carol A. (Boyle) Perry, 61, of 35 Spring St. in Florence, died March 24 in The Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

Born Sept. 7, 1938, in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Eleanor (Bassett) Boyle and the stepdaughter of the late Martha Boyle.

Mrs. Perry had been employed for 35 years at the Hampshire County House of Correction where she held several positions including correctional officer and deputy sheriff. She retired in 1998.

She was a former Lassiette League coach and Girl Scout leader in Florence.

She was also a member of the Mr. and Mrs. Club of St. Michael's High School in Northampton.

She enjoyed playing cards and bingo.

She leaves two sons, John Raymond Perry of Clifton Park, N.Y., and Michael Perry of Florence; two daughters, Melissa Perry, and Eleanor Vierstra, both of Florence; two sisters, Joan Bowler, and Kathy Diemand, both of Florence; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held Tuesday morning in Our Lady of the Annunciation Church in Florence.

Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

There are no calling hours.

The Amherst Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
