Lorraine C. Clark, 54, of 9 Willow Drive, Rome, NY, died May 11, 1992, in University Hospital, after a brief illness. She was born May 24, 1937, in Maiden, MA, a daughter of James A. and Elsie M. Greene Anderson. She graduated from Northampton High School in 1955 and attended Smith College for four years. On April 3, 1959, she married David B. Clark in Northampton, MA. Mrs. Clark worked for Northampton State Hospital before moving to Rome in August 1961. She worked for Shoppers Service and was assistant director of the Health and Hope Club at the YMCA. A member of Zion Episcopal Church, she was a member of the Lay Pastoral Associates of Zion Church. Mrs. Clark was also very active with many civic organizations in the community including Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts. Before joining Zion Episcopal Church, she was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church of Lake Delta where she was on the Vestry, church treasurer and Sunday School secretary. Surviving besides her husband, David B. Clark, are her mother, Elsie M. Anderson, Northampton, MA; a daughter, Mrs. John (Gillian) Curreri, Corning, NY; a son, Timothy A. Clark, Rome; three sisters, Mrs. Leonard (Althea) Meuse, McDonough, Georgia; Mrs. Donald (Sandra) Beauregard, Coventry, RI; and Mrs. Richard (Barbara) Tetrault, West Hatfield, MA. Memorial services will be held at Zion Episcopal Church on Friday at 11 a.m. There are no calling hours. Burial will be held at Spring Grove Cemetery, Northampton, MA, at the convenience of the family. |
