I revisit Sqauntz Pond after a year.

My 1st redo hike since coming to CT. Found a whole new (and better) route of course.

Yellow trail is a river due to resent storm. Made for slow going. A new lookout for me. Higher and more southerly. Me The "real" look out - at least the only one I new about until today. The return trail is deeply rutted. Nice fall day. North along the shore of Squantz Pond Same pond (Squantz!) only south. I can only image the forces that caused this tree to twist in the wind. I'd be impressed if this guy stays verticle for more than a few years.
