Hikes in the Spring of 2006. 1- Zoar CT. 2- Mt. Taurus NY. 3- Lillinonah Lake CT. 4- Mahlon Dickerson Reservation NJ.

The trail ran along lake Zoar in the lower Paugussett State Forest. It actually had a beach. Water drops off... To an icy waterfall. The Mt Taurus (NY) trail soon finds you at the base of an old quarry. South to West Point. Skiing and fire on right. My Lunch spot. Poor tree was all eaten up. Still alive though. North to Breakneck Ridge on the right. Heli was looking out for needy. Mt. Taurus Panoramic. Lake Lillinonah trail started in Newtown CT. 250 ft above the lake a nice oak tree with a snow patch and log book. Great rock ledge made for a cool shot. I had lunch on this log. Panoramic of lake Lillinonah. The spring runoff was everywere. Hike 4. Took a trip to Bear MT on the way. NYC Skyline about 30 miles away. From Bear MT looking North Jonathan and I saw many beaver signs at the start. Jonathan and I at the Headley Overlook. That's Lake Hopatcong and to it's left, Sparta NJ.
