Company of the Dragon
Welcome to the Official Company of the Dragon Website. I was going to create a separate website for the Guild, but since I had a perfectly good website set up already I decided to use this one. Feel free to create forum topics for our Guild. I will be creating a section on the Forum for all Guild Discussions as well as separate pages on website for Warcraft & Guild specific info. Look forward to many hours of Warcraft goodness
Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition
Port City PD
A new video
podcast I have begun watching. It is a TV show like
podcast, and at first you think it looks kind of cheesy
until you realize that this is a podcast and these guys
are doing this for free, and giving it away. I for one
think that Podcasting is the new great medium, and
while it is still new and fresh some of the best stuff
is being done. So jump on board and enjoy before big
business moves in and ruins everything. As a bonus it
is filmed right here in NC, Willmington to be exact.

The Watchmen
I have been
keeping up with this story for quite a while. Glad to
see that it is finally coming together.

Watchmen Cast Confirmed
Confirming weeks of Internet rumors and reports, The Hollywood Reporter said that Warner Brothers has settled on its cast for Zack Snyder's upcoming Watchmen, based on Alan Moore's seminal graphic novel.
Patrick Wilson, Jackie Earle Haley, Matthew Goode, Billy Crudup, Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Malin Akerman have been cast in the film, which Snyder (300) is directing. Larry Gordon, Lloyd Levin and Deborah Snyder are producing.
Set in an alternate America, Watchmen follows the costumed hero Rorschach, who is living a vigilante lifestyle because most masked heroes have retired or been outlawed. While investigating a murder, Rorschach learns that a former masked-hero colleague has been killed, prompting him to begin investigating a possible conspiracy.
Haley will play Walter Kovacs, aka Rorschach, who ignores the ban on costumed vigilantes.
Crudup will play Dr. Manhattan, a superpowered being with godlike powers and temperament.
Akerman will play Laurie Juspeczyk/the Silk Spectre, who is involved with Dr. Manhattan. Their relationship begins to fall apart as he becomes more disconnected from humanity.
Goode will play Adrian Veidt/Ozymandias, a costumed adventurer who retired voluntarily, disclosed his identity and built a large fortune. He hatches a plot to avert a global catastrophe he believes will be caused by Dr. Manhattan.
Wilson will play the Nite-Owl, a crime-fighter who uses technical wizardry and has an owl-shaped flying vehicle.
Morgan will play the Comedian, a cigar-chomping, gun-toting vigilante-turned-paramilitary agent.
Watchmen, created by Moore and Dave Gibbons, is one of the most critically acclaimed series in the genre.
Shooting is set to start in the fall in Vancouver, Canada, with Snyder employing many of the filming techniques he used for his box-office success 300.

Blood Cast
Remember the Fallen Heroes
I was stunned to here about the fallen SC firefighters. The 9 deaths constitutes the largest firefighter loss of life since 9/11. I sometimes take for granted the life that I have been blessed with, Wonderful family, great friends, and a job that allows me to make a difference in someone's life just about on a daily basis. I watched the funeral at the fire station yesterday, and several times had to get up and leave so that I would not be reduced to a blubbering idiot in front of my coworkers.. I could not imagine such a disaster happening here, but I know that it could any day. The point I am trying to make is that sometimes I forget to take time to look around and enjoy what I have. Take a little time out of your day and remember the heroes who gave all, so that someone else may live.

X-Com, I loved this game
I
loved X-com, the original more than the rest. I have
recently got myself an old computer and can not wait to
get some of my favorite old games on it. I have already
got X-com Apocolyps on it, but alas my discs for the
first game do not work. I found this video of the intro
to the first game. It is a low tech game compared to
games now, but newer does not always make better. watch
and enjoy
Stargate
Samantha
Carter is coming to Atlantis. I for one am very happy
that someone from SG-1 is staying around. Below is
article fro Sci-fi network.
Tapping Eager To Join Atlantis

Stargate SG-1 star Amanda Tapping, who joins SCI FI Channel's spinoff series Stargate Atlantis next season, told SCI FI Wire she's still enthusiastic about playing Col. Samantha Carter even after 10 seasons.
"It's been great, " Tapping said last week during a spate of publicity in Vancouver, Canada. "It's kind of an embarrassment of riches for me at the moment. The fact that my character moved over to Atlantis [makes her] a completely different character for me now. Carter being in charge, having her own command, changes her character so much that it's not at all boring. It doesn't feel like I'm playing the same Carter.
In Atlantis' upcoming fourth season (spoilers ahead!), Carter takes over the multinational team, replacing Torri Higginson's Dr. Elizabeth Weir, whose fate is uncertain. (The season finale of Atlantis, "First Strike," airs June 22 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.)
Carter's new assignment is unlike any other she's ever taken, Tapping said. "She's in command now, as opposed to being in Sam's comfort zone, which was being part of the hierarchy of the military and being in a subordinate position," she said.
Known as the brainiac of SG-1, Carter will now need to rely more on the expertise around her, including Lt. Col. John Sheppard (Joe Flanigan). "She understands Sheppard's military expertise, and even though she may have the same amount of military expertise, it's not in this galaxy. She's never fought the Wraith before, so she defers to him a lot. She defers to [Dr. Rodney] McKay [played by David Hewlett] and his scientific expertise in the Pegasus galaxy. And then Teyla [Rachel Luttrell] and Ronon [Jason Momoa] are complete unknowns to her, so she really has to make her way with them."
After more than a decade in the Stargate SG-1 universe, it didn't take Tapping long to nail down the differences between the two shows. "SG-1 is a bit more irreverent, I think," Tapping said. "SG-1 has a certain sense of humor to it, and even though we're stuck on Earth on a military base, ... we're more accessible because we're present-day human beings on Earth. Whereas Atlantis has a bit more otherworldly feel to it, and it's a bit darker, in a lot of ways." The series finale of Stargate SG-1, "Unending," airs June 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Stargate Atlantis returns with all-new episodes later this year. —Melissa J. Perenson

Star Trek
Trek
Script
Done, Shoots In Fall
Roberto Orci, who with writing partner Alex Kurtzman is scripting the new Star Trek movie, told SCI FI Wire that they have finished the script are in preproduction on the movie, which will go into production in November under director J.J. Abrams. "We're still casting," Orci said while promoting his next film, Michael Bay's Transformers. "We're in preproduction, actually this month."
While revealing little about the 11th Trek film's top-secret plot, Orci offered a few tidbits. "Kirk is in the movie," he said. "Some kind of Kirk. ... We literally haven't cast them yet. It's actually one of the challenges, and so we're hoping to have something by Comic-Con [in San Diego in July], but we'll see."
Orci added that producers are wrestling with who to cast. "That's one of the debates, you know?" he said. "Like, how much does a familiar face hurt or not?" As for rumors that Matt Damon is line for Kirk or Adrien Brody for Spock, Orci would only smile. "I've read all those rumors, too."
Is the Trek movie being eyed as the kickoff of a possible TV series? "I'm sure CBS is thinking about that," he said. "That's not [something] we're thinking about. We're just thinking about the movie. Certainly, I don't know how they could not think about that." —Patrick Lee, News Editor
