The following report is
from a usability study I performed for a software company in
Austin, Texas. The software company, Active Paper, developed applications
for the
Magic Cap mobile computing platform. I examined two novice users
as they attempted
to set up the email application. I began with video recordings (from
two cameras) of the
test subjects, from which I produced transcripts. The methodology
I used was
“Conversation Analysis.”
