Here are some web resources put together for you by own own Sue
Chemler. Thanks Sue.
www.scouting.org - National
website for BSA. All publications can be downloaded, forms, Fast
Start, and Youth Protection (please go through the council website to
take Youth Protection - record keeping)
www.threefirescouncil.org-
our Council's website, go here to take Youth Protection, find out about
council activities, training opportunities, and view the Flame on
line. From here you can visit our district's site as well as
other districts. Can print off forms that you may need.
USScouts.org - everything you wanted to know about scouts plus more
- all levels.
USScouts.org/BBugle - Baloo's
Bugle - Unbelievable source of program ideas all geared to the official
themes of the BSA. I printed off this month's newsletter - 35
pages. Themes, ceremonies, songs, food, crafts, activities all to
the theme divided by Pack, Den, and level. UNBELIEVABLE!
CUB-ROUNDTABLE.COM - Longhorn
District of Capitol Area Council, Austin, Texas site with info on
Scouting Galore and links to lots of other stuff. Note: not all are up
to date, site has not been maintained but if it is not timely and just
ideas it's ok.
MACSCOUTER.COM - all levels, all
sorts of stuff - ceremonies, activities, not many crafts but everything
else.
Scoutcamp.org - anything to do with
finding a camping site, setting up a camporee, legends of BSA camping
and camping sites.
- National Park Service site with volunteer opportunities for both BSA
and GSA at our National Park Sites throughout the USA.
There are also Pow Wow sites out there but they are the whole Pow Wow
and are extensive to print out.
Craft Related Sites
These tend to disappear and change, the ones listed have lasted the
test of a few years.
KIDSDOMAIN.COM - Crafts
Galore! Divided by subject, material, holiday, etc. Lots of
recycling stuff.
CRAFTIDEAS.COM - Pack-o-Fun's
Website, lots of seasonal projects. Not as helpful as it used to
be but still ok for ideas.
