TechTV | X-Play

In the 'this is insanely cool' category', I have managed to land myself an internship on the tv show 'X-Play' which airs on the network TechTV. Whilst waiting to see Kevin Rose, a friend of mine who already works there, I got chatting to one of the Production Assistants for the show, who invited me to send him his resume. I start friday.

Water: that isn't wet!

A demo that was aired on ABC a few days ago, demonstrated an amazing new substance which is a fluid, but it doesn't get things wet. Nice.

More Switchers

The New South Wales Traffic Authority has purchased a large number of 15" iMacs from Apple. This represents a very successful attempt by apple to break into the enterprise market.

Apple posts 909% increase in iPod sales.

Apple yesterday posted its financial details for Q2. Note-worthy: "Apple shipped 749 thousand Macintosh¨ units and 807 thousand iPods during the quarter, representing a 5 percent increase in CPU units and a 909 percent increase in iPods over the year-ago quarter." Apple are posting a net profit of $46 million. Good work Apple!
