Goodpaster Goodtimes

In early June, 2006, we spent 5 great days at the Gadbury Cabin on the Goodpaster River, about 90 miles from Fairbanks.

Kristin and Andrew wheeled around the property. The firepit was a place for eating and storytelling. Andrew was proud of his first catch - a grayling. Andrew and Andy show off their first catches. Everyone had something to read. Dan brought along the story of "Grizzly Man" Sandra discovered a "phone booth" in the moose tree. The Mt. Baldy hike took us to a great viewpoint. Richard Gadbury is buried on Mt. Baldy. We saw several moose. It's calving season. Andrew learned the thrill of tree cutting with a chain saw. One day was "beach day" on a nearby sandbar. It's brisk, not cold! Kristin braved the water for a few seconds. Every beach needs a sand castle. This is a marshmallow? We love Grandma! When we were little kids we played soldiers here.
