Music everywhere

So i finally have a band again and thats pretty cool. James, Marty and I have official started a new band.. the name is still to be decided on but we have practiced and we have gigs lined up... time to bring the quirky rock....

I finished the three cuts I had to do of the lion king x-mas album but I don't think it will be released until next year though.
Ziaf album is in full swing hopefully I'll have it finished in time for first night for them to sell.

Its been crazy week of strange relationships. I'm trying to find the right amount of time for Heidi now that the two of us are not seeing each other anymore. I had a crazy weekend of discussions with Sue trying to rebuild our friendship now that she is not with Jeremy anymore and to tie it all together Kyle came up from NY to have one of the best weekend I've had in a long time. Follow this up with an amazing dinner with Jill on Monday night and I am socially exhausted.

I have a feeling the next 2 months are going to be non stop with the holidays and Andy back in town mid December it should be crazy....

Four Months

So four months, I apologize.
Things have changed.
I now live in Somerville, just outside Davis Square.
I am always at the studio, not like that is anything new. Recent happening at the studio include a visit from Gabe Kapler, Duran Duran and this week the cast of The Lion King. Recent personal projects include Ziaf album two, Motherseat demo, Headroom demo, Toxie birthday cartoon...
My studio remodel is done (studio F, pictures soon) including my new 42"plasma.... which is the best for Halo tournaments.
Well this entry is not really here for content but to get my back in the habit of updating. i have much to say about what has recently been going on but I don't have the energy to put it down.
More form the front soon, hopefully...

yes, i said Duran Duran

Just a general update

So a quick update to keep things up to date. I've moved. I'm in Davis Sq. now. I am very ahppy about this fact I like Davis alot and my new apartment rules. James and I have spent the past few weekends painting and what not and the place is starting to shape up. I'm also in my new studio at work (studio F). Its sweet to finally have a good system to work on. I think construction might start on the remodel in early July but we will see. Otherwise things are good.
I saw a bunch of Lowell people last weekend, it was good to see most people. I felt a little unwanted though, I think it was just me being crazy though. It was also weird to be around so many old friends with Sue. It was really the first time since we came back from California. I think that really through me. I thought I okay with it all but it was weird to listen to her go on and on about her new boy. Well she really didn't go on and on but I couldn't help but be dragged into her conversation from across the backyard everytime he came up in conversation.
Anyway I'm looking forward to the weekend, hopefully get some extra sleep.

Spring Carnival and such....

So after working 57 hours in four days I took today off. I spent the week with Pat Metheny and Gary Burton and a bunch of Berklee kids. A few of them even turned out to be very cool.
Its spring carnival at Lowell today, I was tempted to to grab a train up there but I wasn't sure if I would actually be wanted or not...
Anyway, party in Central Square tomorrow night, hopefully alot of people will come, its just a party, no theme, but its also for my birthday which is Sunday....

high school influx

So there has been a sudden influx of Marshfield back into my life. All at once. Between running into Matty and Emily Friday night and Nell and Becky on Saturday nevermind the rest of the people who I've suddenly reestablished contact with. Its a little strange I know alot of people right now. More than I probably ever did. So I think i might throw a party on Saturday but its a little weird since I'm moving out of my apartment that same weekend. I also have a busy week ahead of me. 9 am to midnight Mon - Thurs but then I'm taking Friday off which is cool but I should probably spend the day packing. I hate moving but I'm excited to build a new room/studio it will take a while though because i want to do it right and I ain't got no cash. Anyway, Harris rocked on Saturday and it was a great show. And I had a blast hanging with my apple friends and Matty, Emily and Claire on Friday.
I make some strange decision. I'll be glad once the good weather is here for good and I have a chance to settle in a bit. Oh yeah, and when Kyle comes back...

moving and old friends

So all sort of stuff have gone down recently. Lets just focus on today.... Found an apartment, looks like I'm moving to Davis Sq. by June 1st. Hung out with Brian Redmond for a few minutes down on Newburry St. which ruled! Hung with Sue for a little while in Harvard Sq. which was fun until she had to abruptly leave.... Then had a great dinner at the Rotisserie House. (My favorite home-style dinner in Central) Then got stood up by TWO girls. Thats right, two! But it don't matter because I went to TT's and saw none other than John "fuckin" Larson! Who now lives in Davis. So cool to hang with him for abit. John Larson is like hitting the Jackpot on favorite UML people who disappeared! Overall a very eventful day to say the least....

workaholic

so... I thought I just liked to keep busy... but I've decided that I'm officially workaholic. I'm not sure if its in an unhealthy way, I think I have this need to leave a mark. This is true both in my work and relationships. I think when people rely on me it make me feel important but I'm not doing anything right now that I consider important whatever that is
I want to talk to my boss about more responsibility at the studio even-though I have plenty as is. I also have plenty of current projects to work on but can't help myself from taking on more. I've had a hard time dealing with my downtown in between projects... kind of like being in between theatre productions in high school. Not depressed just lack of direction. I also think I'm avoid dealing with emotional issues by burying myself in work... but maybe not...
Well Ziaf is done, Jared is mastering it tomorrow. its sounds good too, can't wait to have copies floating around in strangers homes. Its weird to think of strangers appreciating my art. Even-though people hear the stuff I do for radio all the time, never-mind the TV commercials I do. Its different with music, its much more a piece of me in that. I've never done a whole 11 cut album before, a big accomplishment for me, I feel like all the big musical projects never get finished...
I also want a band again, badly... but thats something I feel I can't force the time will eventually just be right , I hope... for now I'm off too bed...
Oh this past Saturday I partied till dawn, literally. i hadn't done that in a LONG time. It felt good, even if I did have to pump myself full of caffeine ahead of time to last. It was a blast. And TS the musical is well on its way, I can't wait to be in post production, I hope people get it.
ok really, sleeptown...

I'm going to the roof... to jump off

Busy weekend... Friday night in Davis square to party out with Alyssa before she left for New York Sat. morning. We hung at Corey's house, who is a really cool kid. In-fact I had a blast with Corey and Amy hopefully I'll run into them around the city.
Saturday had a day off from T.S. so met Sue for lunch which was cool. Then Jared came into the city met his roommate and his brother. Always great to see Jared, we hadn't caught up in a few months hopefully we will get together again soon. Then went with Lindsey (my roommate) to go see my JP/MassArt friends at this art collective/DJ/performance art party. It was cool not totally my scene but it was good to see everyone and Marty performed which is always cool.
Today I think I finished the Ziaf albums (11 songs!) which rocks. It came out good and I'm glad to have my Sundays back. Now to get someone to master it so they can sell it in Europe.
Big Ziaf gig Tuesday night at ZuZu's 10:30 music and free... highly recommended!
This week will be crazy because its back to TS the musical this week. So much to do for Saturday. I'll figure out.
