cover     Egyptoid (collage-by: Michael Roden)

This was apparently the Front Cover “on an Egyptian theme” that was originally scheduled for THRU BLACK HOLES Number 6 (see page 25 of THRU BLACK HOLES Number 5 for details). This is quite an impressive cover. It would have been stunning had it been printed on “metallic gold paper stock” as planned. Even the TBH masthead is exceptional this issue.

inside front cover     Thru Black Holes … Contents

Includes additional collage elements “on an Egyptian theme.”

pages 1-2     Ley Lines

Text piece by DAVID BACH with two illustrations by TERRY JEEVES (page 1) and another by TED GUERIN (page 2).

page 2     Nemesis Horror Art-Zine

Small (approximately one-third page) advertisement for NEMESIS HORROR ART-ZINE. Cool weird MR drawings and accompanying text: “Insekt Krebs Splat durch der tor von der Grabstein, und fliege zu Jenseils.” Try saying that three times fast.

pages 3-4     The Coffin Follies by: Michael Roden

Carefully crafted two-page art-story which serves as the introduction/part 1 to Quest of the Eyeball Cube.

pages 5-7     Quest of the Eyeball Cube

An amazing three-page fantasy voyage to “another reality” with cameo appearances by TERRY JEEVES and E. H. DORN.

page 8     Metamorphosis Mythos by: Michael Roden

Mysterious poem about the enigmatic Prof. I. Moot with a drawing of the Professor reprinted (with additions) from THRU BLACK HOLES Number 5 (page 8). According to MR (letter to DLC dated 8/8/03), Prof. I. Moot was a character created by MICHAELENE LLEWELLYN to serve as a fictional version of MICHAEL RODEN.

page 8     The Ominous Truth By: Michael Roden

Short fantasy poem with a cool MR drawing of a one-eyed sea monster. “Electric dawn crackled alive with energy.”

page 9     The Evil Visitation

Amazing full-page horror drawing by E. H. DORN. This may well be his best drawing ever.

page 10     Yes, Fantasies can come true …

Mysterious collage by ED H. DORN.

page 11     Leaves by: Keith A. Daniels

Poem with accompanying MICHAEL RODEN illustration.

page 11     The Skulls by: Michael Roden

Short horror poem with illustration of (what else?) skulls. Also on this page are two small but nice E. H. DORN drawings.

page 12     The Old World Collage by: Michael Roden

Intricate full-page collage that was later reprinted as the cover of EUROCK Number 21.

page 13     Metropolis

Highly detailed collage by LANA COLLINS.

page 14     Fantasy Horses

Full-page drawing by MARY SUE MISCHENKO.

back cover     The Ritual

Full-page drawing by DON MARSH. The inside back cover is blank.
