cover     Stellar Fantasy Newsletter logo

Abbreviated version of the Stellar Fantasy Society logo as it appeared on the back cover of THE LOOKING GLASS Number 15 and elsewhere.

pages 1-2     Society Notes

This two-page editorial column (presumably written by Editor BEN FULVES) provides some interesting historical information regarding several MICHAEL RODEN projects, including ARTWORK SHOWCASE Number 1.

page 2     advertisement for Nemesis Horror Art-Zine

Small illustrated and partially hand-lettered advertisement for NEMESIS. “Dedicated to: H. P. Lovecraft and the Bizarre.” Cool.

page 2     Members logo

Small MR drawing of mushrooms accompanying the SFS members roster.

page 3     Andy’s NASA Column logo

Fairly routine logo for the NASA column by HARRY ANDRUSCHAK.

page 4     In the Astral Eye of Chaos

Cool Cthulhu poem (“And to enter here means madness”) illustrated with a really amazing monster page border (printed at both the top and the bottom of the page).

pages 5-6     Strands of the Future

In addition to a brief but interesting introduction to the space-music genre, MICHAEL RODEN reviews: From the New World … From the Old World by EBERHARD SCHOENER (“We hear sounds from strange places in between cuts.”), Jardin Au Four by HANS JOACHIM ROEDELIUS (“It is an album of simple melodies and chord patterns with rhythms blended in.”), Sternzeit by ADELBERT VON DEYEN (“Generally there is a feeling like birds on the wing.”), Equinoxe by JEAN MICHEL JARRE (“For me, the end of side two is reminiscent of being in the foothills of an old French countryside.”), and Adonia by HERVE PICART and RICHARD PINHAS (“You might envision a sojourn across the fiery sands riding on a creature more like a dinosaur than a camel.”). The logo for this column is a MR collage featuring a giant ear.
