NIGHTMARE DISTRICT
20-page mini-comix with Tangerine Raised Ink Covers

Edition of 400 copies
This tall skinny (4 1/4 X 7 inches) cosmic-horror title is comprised of four stories (each representing a different “District”) and a two-page reprint. The Thermograph (Raised Ink) covers (on Tangerine Index) are truly a wonder to behold. Some copies are signed on the inside front cover. Contents:
cover untitled collage-drawing (Nightmare District)
pages 2-5 District 1
An incredible tale about a chilling encounter with Hawknose Harlequin and Santa Claus (really). Exceptionally nice illustrations. Note that the Governor (see page 2) later turned up as one of the THRU BLACK HOLES BUTTONS.
pages 6-10 District 2 ‘Insect Heaven’
Nice collaboration with ED H. Dorn utilizing collage elements culled from the rather offbeat engravings of the French caricaturist GRANDVILLE. A stunning E. H. DORN insect drawing completes this district.
pages 11-14 District 3 (TOM BRINKMANN)
Wonderfully frightful tale inspired by the great horror writer H. P. LOVECRAFT. Note the Arkham, Massachusetts reference in the last panel on page 14. A perfect combination of story and art make this story one of this artist’s best efforts.
pages 15-16 District 4 “Dreamed of Grace …”
Hand-lettered entry from an old diary, decorated with rubber stamp images.
pages 17-18 Haunted House
Two-page collage story reprinted (with additional artwork on both pages) from NEMESIS No. 3 (pages 1-2).
page 19 untitled collage-drawing
Beautifully rendered cosmic-horror illustration. Very mysterious and very surreal.
