This was a rather large (being 8 1/2 X 11 in size as well as being 287 pages in length) anthology of “New Comics” edited by BOB CALLAHAN. The term “New Comics” seems to be a catch-all that includes everything from the classic underground comix of the San Francisco hippie era to some rather mainstream albeit quirky stuff. The one MICHAEL RODEN selection is hardly representative of his work but at least the editor had the good graces to include MR in the book.
