This is the second in a wonderful series of collaborative mini-comix that BILL SHUT (= JAMIE ALDER) masterminded in the mid-1980s. This particular issue is a fine example of that series. Available in two variants: one printed on Lt. Blue index stock (175 copies), the other on white index stock (25 copies).

Each page (except the covers and centerspread art) has work on it by both Jamie and Me. Think an imaginary line down the center of each page. His drawing stops, then mine starts … and so on. On top of that it is a double-faced comix. It was mind-boggling to do.
MICHAEL RODEN: undated letter to DLC

For this particular project, MICHAEL RODEN incorporated a number of collage elements with backgrounds that both he and BILL SHUT created especially for this amazing little book. Note, in particular, the primitive tribal owl mask that MR altered such that it seamlessly merges with the bold geometric BILL SHUT background. This is a very cool book.
