Well, the standards for mini-comix just keep getting higher and higher as each new issue of CRAZY MEN is released. This 16-page marvel features stunningly beautifully colored covers and art by eight artists, all put together under the editorship of MICHAEL RODEN.

cover    TOM BRINKMANN untitled drawing

This stunning drawing of a toothy Crazy Man is made even more striking by the eyeball-busting candy grape and blue-green colors (also by TOM BRINKMANN ... the first-ever TBHC color work not done by MR).

page 2    MICHAEL RODEN untitled drawing

This is a cool 1986 drawing that really needed to be reprinted. Fun and wacky, it’s everything a Crazy Men drawing should be!

page 3    ANDY NUKES & MICHAEL RODEN Welcome to Bowl-o-Rama!

This fun page features a not-Crazy (?) Hillbilly bowler. Check out the leering Crazy Man in the Shoes window!

The saying ... "I'm not crazy, I was tested." is something that a crazy boy named Travis (also known as Frog Boy) says in the movie CAR POOL with Tom Arnold. (Interesting to note: This is the 2nd Bowling reference in a comix, the other is in Red Devil Comix. I haven't been bowling since I was a kid. But it seems like something that a Crazy Man would like.) MR: email to DLC dated Aug 30, 2006

page 4    MIKE MITCHELL & MIKE RODEN Nose Pickin’ Dragster (Crazy Men Oil)

This cool MIKE & MIKE page features, well, a MIKE MITCHELL nose pickin’ dragster (set against a festive MICHAEL RODEN background).

page 5    JIM THOMPSON & MIKE RODEN untitled drawing (Crazy Man Neptune)

This is a cool surfer-tiki guy set against a stylized background. Very simple but effective page.

page 6    TOM BRINKMANN untitled drawing (Zippity Doo-Da, Zippity Ay …)

This is a more horror-themed Crazy Man, drooling in front of a cool op-art background.

page 7    MIKE RODEN & ARRINGTON DE DIONYSO Ham and Cheese

Man, I just love this 1993 doodle-collage featuring some of the craziest Crazy Men ever! This stuff is so surreal it’s scary! I love this page!

pages 8-9    MICHAEL RODEN A Cool Op Art Scene With Crazy Men

This page has also been resurrected from the past and for good reason … it rocks! I mean, it must have taken forever to do all the shading on this page!

page 10    TOM BRINKMANN Bone Face Crazy Man

This is another highly stylized horror-themed Crazy Man by long-time MR friend and collaborator TOM BRINKMANN.

page 11    MIKE MITCHELL & MIKE RODEN Flyin’ Skateboarder

Check out the amazing sense of flying built into this drawing. This guy is flying high!

page 12    ANDY NUKES Crazy Men #0

This was a proposed cover drawing of a seriously pained-looking Crazy Man. Ouch.

page 13    TOM BRINKMANN untitled drawing

This time we get a vampire Crazy Man set against a freaky lightening-laced sky.

page 14    The Info Page

page 15    BRAD FOSTER & MICHAEL RODEN Ice Cream World

This is pretty cool; it’s a self-portrait of BRAD FOSTER (as a freaked-out bug-eyed Crazy Man) set against a detailed MICHAEL RODEN background. Good job, BRAD!

back cover    BOB X I Used To Be Insane, But I’m Alright Now

This back cover, which features a stunningly cool BOB X Crazy Man brilliantly colored by MIKE RODEN, is worth the price of this issue all by itself!

How I did that was... using Photoshop I used the "magic wand" to do the top of the head and the nose. I used the gradient tool and 2 colors of my choice. I colored the yellow around the words and Bob "X" name on Photoshop too. Then I printed it out with the black the proper intensity. After that I used markers and hand colored the rest.
