BLATCH was a cool punk rock and art zine published in the mid-1980s by JIM BLANCHARD. So what is a blatch?
You asked what
a ‘blatch’ is and that’s something I’d like to know
too – actually it was a purposefully ambiguous name I thought up in High
School.
JIM BLANCHARD: Letter to DLC dated Feb. 1 [1986]
page 39 untitled drawing
This swell cosmic-psychedelic bacon and eggs drawing was so cool that it also found its way into NOVUS No. 26 (page 21) in Hawaii.
This is a pretty damn cool magazine. There's interviews and tons of reviews of zines and records (yeh, records ... they had records back then) and loads of cool art. Editor and Publisher (and contributing artist) JIM BLANCHARD did a great job with this publication!
