Subroadbed For Hidden Return Loop 


I have started the subroadbed for the hidden return loop under the power plant. 

Tonight I got out my 3rd PlanIt drawings and taped together the hidden return loop to make one large drawing.



After cutting and trimming the 3 main sheets to get the tracks to line up correctly I had this large drawing:



I draped it over the benchwork frame for a test fit just to check if anything was grossly out of alignment.



With that checked out OK, I cut out templates for subroadbed pieces and then taped them down to a sheet of 3/4" plywood.



Then I marked the outline with a carpenter's pencil. i ran out of time for the evening (as the next step was to use a sabre saw to cut out the pieces) because it was time for bed for my little ones.
