Ceiling Work Continues 


I continued to work on the drop ceiling over Lindenwood Yard 

I finished the installation of the drop ceiling over Lindenwood Yard yesterday. I had to buy some additional channel because I decided not to rest the tiles on top of the florescent light tube fixtures. The hard part was cutting the tiles to fit in the rounded corners at both ends of the layout. It took a lot of trial and error (and getting up and down off the benchwork), but I managed to get a decent fit. Actually putting the tiles in place was a bit harder than I figured. There's not much room between the hard backside of the valance and the wall. I think it also improved the lighting over the layout as not much escapes into the floor joists above. I did manage to scrape the sky backdrop in a few places. It will get touched up at some point obviously, but I figured I'd wait until I get to the real scenery stage, and large scale construction is basically done.
