Wood Chopping Party

Tonight i worked on cutting the subroadbed for the section of mainline from SE Junction to Byers which includes the Meramec River crossing. I used the same technique as before. I cut out the paper CAD drawings into templates, taped them to my sheet of plywood, traced them out, and then used a jigsaw to cut them out.

Here is photo of the hidden return loop with the subroadbed that was cut the week before with the paper templates laying on top.

I also chopped a whole lot of 1x3s into 4" lengths and 1x2s into 4" lengths. I then glued them together to make a whole mess of risers. This is all prep work for Thursday, when my BRVRR group friends come over to my house this week.

I still need to assemble about 10 risers, and that should give me about 50 or so.
