Layout Update 


It's been 8 months since I made a blog entry. I've been workin on the layout. Here's a quick update. 

Since my last blog entry back in June of 2005, I've gotten a lot done, but I also think I was burning out a little last summer/fall. Anyway.... I've laid the mainline through Lindenwood Yard and have wired it so that that the trains can run. The tortoise switch machines are mounted underneath, but I don't have them powered yet. That should come next month after I acquire a Digitrax SE8c signaling board.



Over on the other side of the layout, I just recently finished laying the 3 upper level hidden staging tracks. I've started wiring them, but I have not yet mounted the tortoises. I plan to control these turnouts with a Digitrax DS54 which also should get installed next month.



Here's a quick shot looking into the room from the doorway.



My Thursday night train group is hard at work on the helix. I'll have more to say and show in a couple of weeks.
