Survey Crew Finished with Roadbed Alignment

I've finished marking out where the roadbed need to go from Lindenwood Yard all the way out to the hidden return loop. First I took the CAD drawing templates and taped them back together. I then layed them back on top of the homasote and used simple push pins to mark the track centerline. At Southeast Junction, I actually cut the template at the edge of the roadbed profile, so I would know where to lay the cork roadbed.

I also found that the transition from cork roadbed on the mainline to Lindenwood Yard was not exactly even, so I got out my kid's construction paper and used 4 pieces stacked up and staggered in order to bring the top of the cork level with the top of the yard.

After marking the track with push pin holes, I got out the Sharpie and drew all the curves and tangent track onto the homasote. So now I have a continuous line where the track or cork needs to be.

I also laid out the CAD drawing for Lindenwood Yard on the homasote, but I remembered that I changed the track alignment a month ago to eliminate S curves at the far eastern end. I found that I not only changed crossovers but the stub end yard as well on that end of the layout. I need to go back and print that end of the yard again, then I can begin to mark out where all the yard tracks need to go.
