IdleLed is a tiny Cocoa application for MacOS X that installs a virtual LED in your system status bar. This software LED will signal your Macintosh idle/busy activity.

You can alter the basic behavior of the IdleLed.app. The slider "Precision" allows to adjust the update speed of the Led. The default value is 1 s. Of course, the lower is the refresh interval the better the Led will reflect the real idle/busy status of your Mac. However, a short update interval will be more CPU consuming. You can also decide to invert the basic behavior of the software, having the led OFF when busy and ON when idle (or viceversa).
