- Caption: 473 is one of 10 K-28 locomotives built for the D&RGW in 1923. Seven of them were requisitioned by the Army during World War II, after which they were scrapped. The three remaining K-28s are all at the Durango & Silverton, and as a group have seen continuous service for 83 years.
