teaser: Of course, the murderer didn't have to have red hair and a lisp, but according to the mystery books Annie read, all ciminals leave clues. Otherwise …
summary: Annie has convinced her detective boyfriend Charley she knows more about solving crime from reading mystery books than do the police — Charley included. To prove her wrong, and redeem himself in her eyes, Charley asks his lieutenant to take Annie along on their next investigation. The lieutenant refuses, but chance arranges things otherwise. At the crime scene, while every one of Annie's conclusions can be explained away, they are all nonetheless true. To be otherwise just wouldn't be fair!
