Ma's Coffee Rolls

- 1 pkg dry yeast
- 1⁄4 cup warm water
- 1 cup scalded cooled milk
- 3 cups flour (about)
- 1⁄4 cup butter
- 3 tab spoons sugar
- 1 egg slightly beaten
- 1-teaspoon salt

- Filling:

- 1 cup soft butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon

- Dissolve yeast in waterstir in milk
- And 1-cup flour beat until smooth
- Let stand ½ hour cream butter --sugar
- Add egg and salt. Beat mixture into
- Beat mixture into yeast sponge
- Add remaining flour to make soft dough
- Knead until smooth place in greased
- Bowl, grease surface of dough cover and
- Let rise until double (about 1 hour).

- Roll dough into rectangle 12” x 18”
- Spread with butter sprinkle on sugar and
- Cinnamon roll dough tightly cut in pieces
- Place in baking pan - let rise until light
- Bake at 400* for 20 to 25 min remove from
- Pan turn out on rack while warm dribble
- With conf sugar icing
- Icing: 2-cup conf sugar
- 1⁄2 cup milk 1 tsp. vanilla
