RECENT STRANGER

Things keep building and building for Come Inside's lead-off single. It all started with pockets of airplay across the country which lead to some solid runs and regular rotation. Next up we did our very first music video which you can now view online: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-20ZoSNay0
Coinciding with all the positive response, the song has been picked up to be the theme music for Velo TV. Currently in the pilot stage, Velo TV is a show about extreme bike sports and is based out of Oregon in the US. You can watch the pilot here: http://velotv.net/

Gotta say, the fun part of making a CD is the writing & studio work...the not so fun part is all the business end stuff that has taken so long to for us to get the album in your hands. The good news is, with the record 100% finished, all we have left is to dot some i's and cross some t's and we should be ready to make an announcement very soon. The 11-song CD is officially titled "COME INSIDE" and will be available asap!

PLAYING WITH CHEAP TRICK IN KELOWNA

We're off to Kelowna this weekend to open for CHEAP TRICK at the 1st annual Rock N Ride festival on The Bluff. This is a heavy duty festival also featuring Lynyrd Skynyrd, John Kay & Steppenwolf, Powder Blues, Colin James, .38 Special, Headpins, Streetheart & Jerry Doucette. We hit the stage on saturday, August 5th at 5:55pm. Can't wait to hit the road & return to Kelowna again!

On the subject of touring, we're also heading out to Edmonton to play with our super-powered pal TODD KERNS on thursday, August 24th at The Urban Lounge. More Alberta dates will be announced as soon as they are finalized.

Time for an album update; all our tracks are now recorded and all we have left is some minor tweaking & mixing of a few songs. Its getting very close, expect a release around October. In the meantime you can check out 4 of our brand new recordings and our promo video at www.myspace.com/cropcircleband

Saturday April 1, 2006

Woohoo, finally we've set a date to hit the studio and record our first album! No this isn't an April fool's joke, its been a long haul but we've been busy writing new material. The festivities begin on saturday April 15th and run for about two weeks. We're doing the album at Greenhouse Studios through Juicemix Productions which means we'll have engineer Jay Evjen and producer Todd Kerns at the helm. Currently we're in pre-production mode with Jay & Todd and things have been going great! Plans are to record 10-12 songs and right now the big problem is deciding which songs make the cut. I guess its a good problem to have. We plan on keeping a log of our progress and will post the adventures online so check in for the updates.

On a related note, since we're personally funding the album independently, we've decided to do a fundraiser to help out a bit. Instead of just doing a regular show, we thought a KISS tribute night might be alot of fun. So we've called the show GODS OF THUNDER and invited several of our gigging buddies to join us on stage and play old KISS classics all night. What could be more fun than that!?! As an added bonus, Todd will be filling in on bass for us so this is a show not to be missed! It all goes down next saturday April 8th at the Backstage Lounge (Granville Island, Vancouver). Tickets are $10, lots of prizes to be won, Doors 9pm.
