 "I'm here with the chairman of the FCC, Michael Powell, next caller you're on the line..."
If you're Powell the last guy you want (or expect) to call is Howard Stern. The radio bad boy has been in a war of words with the FCC in general and Powell in particular. The FCC has levied big fines on Stern for talkin' dirty on the radio.
That's what happened on a KGO radio talk show last night.
Said Stern: "Let's face it. You got to the head of the FCC, you got to the front of the class the way George W. Bush got out of the draft -- and it's completely fair for me to question."
Powell's father is Secretary of State Colin Powell.
Powell called Stern's assertion "a cheap shot."
