The New York Times reports that Disney is blocking its Miramax division from distributing a documentary produced by Michael Moore. The hell-raising, left-wing Moore, who previously brought us the book Dude, Where's My Country and documentaries like "Bowling for Columbine," has produced "Fahrenheit 911," which criticizes the Bush administration's response to the September 11 attacks and links Bush to Osama bin Laden and other prominent Saudis.
Moore's agent claims Disney is afraid of losing tax incentives for its theme parks and resorts in Florida, where Jeb Bush is governor. Disney denies that.
Regardless of one's view of Moore's work, this incident is an example of the power big media can wield to stifle free speech.
