Franken takes to the air today
Date Created:03/31/04 07:48 AM

Al Franken and his fellow lefties begin their talk radio experiment, Air America Radio. This has been highly publicized, despite the fact they'll only be on a handful of radio stations. They're not even top-rated stations, nor does the nascent network own any of them -- Air America is buying time to air its programs. The idea, of course, is to try to take back the airwaves from right wingers like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. It's an uphill battle, to say the very least. Nevertheless, here are a handful of clippings on this grand experiment:

"Left Wingin' It" (Red Eye/Chicago Tribune, March 31)

"Air America Rushes in (Newsday, March 31)
