WiFi on TV

The Federal Communications Commission is considering allowing ISPs to use some of the spectrum normally reserved for television to broadcast WiFi signals. (See USA Today story.) Broadcasters don't like the idea, of course. However, if television stations are not going use the spectrum for HDTV, someone else will want it. Last week the New York Times reported on a Salt Lake company that is using digital television spectrum to package television channels normally distributed by cable or satellite.
