Technology changing TV news

A few examples of technology affecting the way television news is produced.

Lost Remote is reporting that KING-TV in Seattle recently used a photograph on air that had been taken and transmitted by a cell phone.

And the cable industry is finding that viewers want News on Demand. See the story via Television Week.

Television Week is also reporting on a new service that intends to predict which stories will gain the greatest ratings. I'd like to hear from my Television News Producing Class on what the implications are for TV news producing. (Extra credit for posting your comments.)
